Hi, I have had my SpyKee for almost a year now but have been guilty of not really making enough use of it after the xmas euphoria when I bought it.  So i've come to start using it again now and I tried to plug the cable from the head into the mini usb slot but it keeps dropping into the base.

So i've opened up the base and replaced the mini usb port which is seperate to the little circuit board that It needs to connect to (not sure if that is by design or because it is broken, but it looks ok).  But it keeps slipping back into the base as soon as I try and connect the cable from the head.  I've no experience with circuitry type stuff so I was wondering if someone could advise me on how to get the mini usb 'slot' to stay in place.  Do I need to solder it to the circuit board that it wants to connect to? if so how can I be sure I am soldering the right bit and not in fact doing more damage.

Hopefully someone can help me......

Thanks

hi, I have attached a couple of photos, they basically show what I have described in the previous post......the mini usb port goes down into the base so there is nothing for the cable to catch on when I try to attach the head to the base, hence SpyKee is not working properly.

Thanks

id say open it up, hold the mini usb socked in place and then pluch in the wire from the head, once it is lined up properly, use some hot glue to hold it in place, after its cooled your socket should stay in place even when you remove the plug
